Notice of Rights

Notice of Rights - Disabilities

The Philadelphia Police Department is committed to making structures, programs, services and activities accessible for people with disabilities. People with disabilities are protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act and can request changes in the way we do business when the change will help them access our programs, services, and activities.
We invite you to refer to the City’s accessibility policies

People with disabilities can request reasonable changes to access City owned spaces, programs, services, and activities by submitting a reasonable modification form online.

People with disabilities who feel that they have been discriminated against, based on disability, in City operated programs, services, and activities may submit a grievance either through the Philadelphia Police Department or the City of Philadelphia.

People with disabilities who feel their request for access has been declined or who feel otherwise improperly treated by an officer may submit a Complaint Against Police (CAP).

We are committed to addressing any gaps in accessibility.  To do that, we will seek your input annually about accessibility successes and needs.  We will issue surveys through our accessibility partners to learn from you.
